Maths games
Derek Robertson from LTScotland and
Consolarium appeared on tv last week extolling the virtues of games based learning.
Try out some of the games at Super Maths World which provide online interactive maths games and activities for all ages. Players engage in mathematical challenges against alien creatures where subject knowledge and fast mental arithmetic is critical to success. Activities are designed so that they cannot be beaten by guess work.

Pupils can sign in using their World Maths Day usernames and passwords. See Mrs Ronnie if you have lost your password.

A quick reference tool for using the floating tools toolbar on the smartboard can be found at http://www.lexington1.net/technology/instruct/technologyguide/survival%20guideinfo/smartboard/quick_reference_floatingtools.pdf
Lots of sites for using with a projector or smartboard for infants maths and language can be found at http://www.juliethompson.com/SMART.html
